While everyone knows about the famous Colt Model 1873 Single Action Army, many are unaware they also made a target version. The Colt Bisley was produced from 1894 to 1915 with around 45000 guns produced in total. While the front half of the revolver is identical to the single action army, the rear of the firearm is completely different. The grip, trigger, and hammer were completely redesigned for target shooting. Larry Potterfield, CEO and Founder of MidwayUSA, presents these features using a Bisley chambered in 38-40 WCF.

Instructional video on how to safely use a revolver. Hello, this video this basically a quick guide on how to use a revolver, I made this becuase I don't like hearing stories of people killing each other simply becuase they didn't know. This is by no means an expert breakdown. These vids along with my others came to me as a decent idea when a coworkers child shot themselves, simply because they didn't know what would happen as they were were trying to work an action. and did not know that a bullet was left in the spout of the gun PS it was bolt action, and the child is okay. oh I did check with my local gunsmith because the significance of bullet grain. As he explained to me I was partially...

This is part two of my, heavily biased, opinion on revolvers vs. semi-auto pistols. I compare two Smith & Wesson Chiefs Specials. One is a model 36 from the late 1950's and the other is a 3rd generation 2003 CS-9 semi-auto. The CS9 is a 9 mm. The model 36 is 38 special. Both have seen more than a thousand rounds. The model 36 has only failed on a dud (reloaded) round. The CS9 has had a few FTFs and FTEs. However, the CS9 is reliable more than 99% of the time. Feel free to disagree and comment! Please subscribe, add me as friend, and rate this video. I will have many more videos on reloading, guns, booze, SHTF, and all kinds of similar stuff. STAY TUNED!!!

A slow timed revolver is one that fails to bring the chamber completely into alignment as the gun comes to battery. In this GunTec presentation Larry Potterfield, CEO and Founder of MidwayUSA, details how to fix the timing on a slow timed revolver. Typically, slow timing is caused by the hand not fully engaging the teeth of the ratchet on the rear of the cylinder. This problem is corrected by the installation of an oversized hand. Simply disassemble the revolver, install the new hand, and check the functioning of the action. If the action binds, it usually means the hand was too large. To properly fit the hand, remove it from the revolver and use a fine India stone to bevel its head. Not...
